Ottawa Glove Factory

This business for the manufacture of cotton gloves and mittens was established about six months ago. The company is composed of Ottawa business men and home capital. The plant being established on account of Ottawa’s central location and its advantages as a distributing and manufacturing center. They manufacture a complete and very extensive line of cotton gloves and mittens. The factory is located at 433 Elm Street, and is thoroughly equipped with modern machinery and eight experienced operators and a capacity of turning out two-hundred dozen pairs per week. The goods are of high quality and compare favorably with those manufactured in the larger cities. The prices are very reasonable, in fact very low, when considering workmanship and quality of material. The products of this firm have gained a reputation of high standing and have always satisfied every one who has given them a trial. This factory is operated by Mr. O. H. Smith and Mr. L. N. Hart. The workings and details of this factory are under the direct supervision of Mr. L. N. Hart, who was born and raised in Illinois. He was previously engaged in the contracting and general carpenter work. He is a member of the M. W. A., and I. O. O. F.
