The Ottawa Gas and Heating Co. have one of the best constructed and equipped gas plants in the west and with one exception furnish light and fuel cheaper than any in Kansas. They have about 450 customers and have a capacity of about 100,000 cubic feet per day. This enterprise was established in 1868 and has from its inception proven a benefit and success. Mr. A. P. Elder is president and E. H. Becker secretary and treasurer. These gentlemen are too well known to require further personal mention. Their names are sufficient to inspire confidence and their connection, as owners of the gas plant is guerdon and guarantee of fair treatment and accommodation. Much could be said of both plant and owners, but space forbids and we deem it unnecessary.
