The Fair embraces a stock of racket goods, notions, toys, and numerous useful household articles, and was recently purchased by Miss E. Mattie Shawhan who took charge September 1st, inst. Miss Shawhan informs us that an entirely new stock of notions and novelties will be added soon, and the present stock will be closed out at prices cut in two. She intends to make this a real bargain house from the start, and for articles in the lines carried it will be profitable to call there first. Miss Shawhan has had much experience in merchandising and we bespeak hearty appreciation of her efforts in Ottawa.
