J. G. Spencer conducts a model grocery store known as the “Bee Hive” at 118 South Main street. His stock of staple and fancy groceries, tin, glass and queensware, crockery, etc., is well displayed and extensive in variety. Cigars, tobaccos, country produce, salt meats, flour and provisions of all kinds are of choicest selections. Mr Spencer has been in business in Ottawa nearly all of the time for twenty-three years, and has had an experience in merchandising of over forty yers. He succeeded West & Davis February last, and has made the present stock one of the best in Ottawa. Messrs J. N. Massey and A. Stauffer are assistants in the store.
