Bank of Ottawa, The

The Bank of Ottawa is prominent among our banking institutions, a credit to our city and to its owner, Mr. A. Dobson. It was established in 1885, has a capital of $25,000 and does a general banking business. The Bank of Ottawa has been time tried and panic tested. Besides guiding its affairs in a safe and profitable channel, Mr. Dobson has devoted much time to public matters. As a trustee of the Baptist college, as mayor of the city, serving his second term, manifesting more than ordinary concern for our general weal, his public works are recognized and duly appreciated by our citizens. He has milling and other interests as a result of citizenship in Ottawa dating with the pioneers of the city. He is president of the Kansas State Bankers’ Association and his counsel in public matters, considered so valuable, is never sought in vain.
