The new store of E.D. Hall & Co., is nearly completed, and makes quite an addition to our little town. It is ?5×60 feet, substantially built of brick and stone. The lower floor is occupied by the Firm E.D. Hall & Co., to whose advertisement we refer to other particulars. The upper story is devoted to the Home Journal, where we cordially invite all our friends, assuring them that Mr. Evans will receive and treat them with that urbanity for which he is so distinguished.
The store of Mr. Pickrell is also nearly completed – a two story brick and stone building. We are not advised as to whether Mr. Pickrell intends to occupy the building himself or not, but hear it rumored, and shall be heartily glad if the rumor is well founded, that it is to be leased to Orson Kent, Esq. of Burlington.
