Carrying an immense and varied stock, doing a large business annually and employing modern and progressive methods, this widely known lumber and building material firm located at the corner of Fourth and Walnut St., occupies a leading position among similar concerns in the territory. Lumber of every description is carried also high grade doors, window sash, windows, milled lumber, etc. They also handle a complete line of cement, lime, builder’s hardware, etc. This business has been established for more than thirty years and has been conducted along lines that insure a steady increase in patronage and popularity. Seven courteous employees are required and all goods turned out are guaranteed to be the best obtainable, both in price, workmanship and material. The office and storage sheds are 150×100 feet, affording ample room for the storage of large quantities of building material. The stock is always up-to-date and complete and this place has won an unrivalled and merited reputation. The proprietor, Mr. Milo R. Harris was born in Ohio in 1842. He came to Franklin County, Kansas in 1859. He has always followed lumber business in this city and is a valued member of the Masons, I. O. O. F, G. A. R. and the Hoo Hoos. He also served in the 1st Kansas Artillery during the Civil war. He is highly esteemed in this city as one of our influential and progressive citizens.
